Hello!

I’m Kari, a creative transformational guide, an internationally-published author, an artist, a speaker and wonder-seeker. I am a polar traveller, an advocate for conscious nature connection and a believer that creativity and being fully present can change everything for the better.

Chances are, if you’ve found your way here, you are an empathic change-maker and purpose-seeker who feels driven to make a difference for your community/your family/the world through your business, your actions, your creativity and your vision. With that often comes expectation and responsibility. No matter how much you do there never seems to be enough time to do all the things.

Your mind, body and soul long for more ease. You likely know, deep down, that something needs to change. I get it, because I’ve been there, and I know it’s a hard place to be. I don’t believe that we can fix everything at once with a single mouse-click, but I do believe that if you are ready to and open to change, then the healing has already begun. It’s time for a new relationship with rest. I guide you in a variety of restorative practices and exercises that suit your lifestyle and your needs, whether you are looking for easy plug-in-and-go rest sessions or a unique program tailored to you.

Radical Rest is a deep dive into what we really need in our lives in order to thrive. More than just taking an occasional nap, this is a proven framework in which we address and heal deep tiredness, overwhelm and exhaustion. The results can be transformative.

Whether you could do with some support to sleep better, to manage and elevate your mood, to help with mental focus, support recovery from illness or injury, to balance hormones/menopause or to boost your immune system, essential oils are a wonderful, natural resource.

Feeling disconnected, overwhelmed or just feel you need a change of perspective and some deeply restorative time in nature? Throughout the year, I lead individuals, teams and small groups into wild nature where we can find and cultivate a sense of resilience, peace and inner calm.

These are wonderful, gentle and immersive experiences, leaving you feeling rejuvenated, resourced, balanced and reconnected to the natural world. Wild Wonder Walks and Retreats are held in Cornwall (but I’m happy to travel)…

Creativity

Studies have shown that journaling - or free-writing about your thoughts and emotions - and other creative practices have many benefits, such as decreasing stress, managing anxiety and enhancing self-awareness and resilience. They are enjoyable too!

Creative Mindfulness helps the mind to come into flow-state and boosts creative thinking, insight and focus. Creative practices I use are free-drawing, drawing the breath, pattern-flow, journaling, random poetry, vision boarding and mandala creation. All so blissful! At present only bookable as private groups.

I’m also an Author, Artist, Mindfulness Teacher, EFT practitioner, Restorative EcoNidra and Radical Rest Coach, and Speaker. Add to that: a recovering perfectionist and burn-out/chronic-fatigue survivor.

I learned the hard way that rest is not something that needs to be earned and that making time to be creative and be in nature is not an indulgence. I know from experience that conscious rest, creative experimentation and nature connection are the foundations of a productive, joy-filled life.

It’s my mission to guide and support consciously-minded, talented humans, like you; to provide spaciousness and sanctuary where you feel deeply nourished so you can navigate life’s challenges with more ease and have the energy and clarity to embody and express your soul purpose.

As the daughter of a polar explorer, I’ve always lived on the edge of things, and I have come to realise the importance of balancing and nurturing both the wilder, expressive parts of our nature and the quieter, deeper, more intuitive and creative sides. Wild Calm personifies this beautiful synergy.

Together, we explore techniques to unlock your creativity, connect deeply with nature and feel more aligned with the fullness of your true self so that you can take the next best step for you. Mindfulness, creative practices, wild nature, conscious rest and essential oils are my transformative tools.
